Cora Alice Streeter
Her Story
Cora Alice Streeter was born on May 8, 1886 to parents George Washington Streeter (b. Mar. 23,1853 (N.Y- d. Feb.22, 1936) son of Horace B. and Cornelia L. (Gillette)Streeter, and Vinora Jane (James) Streeter.
She resided in Caldwell Co. Mo. with parents and siblings in 1900 census. On March 25, 1908 she was united in marriage with Charles Dwight Clarkson in Hamilton, Missouri.
The family resided in Hamilton, Missouri in 1910 census and at this time had one child, Vinora , who was born in 1909-d. 2005 and had William A. Streeter (22) living with them.
On September 12, 1918, Charles D. Clarkson registered for the WWI draft in Osborn, DeKalb Co. Mo. His parents were Nathan and Fannie Clarkson, of Clinton Co. Missouri
In the 1920 census family still lived in Hamilton, Mo. with daughter Vinora. In the 1930 census Cora A. and Charles D. Clarkson had moved to Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri. Her husband was listed in city directory as being in production at KCPL.
In the 1940 census Cora and husband Charles still resided in Kansas City, Missouri. and he listed as watchman at KCPL, a James Conner (24) was living with them at this time.
Cora Alice (Streeter) Clarkson died on May 25, 1972 and is buried in Highland Cemetery, Hamilton, Missouri. Her husband Charles D. Clarkson died in 1954 and is buried at Highland Cemetery, Hamilton, Missouri.
