I am so grateful for a good, faithful and kind husband, and five children to match. If someone had asked me as a young adult how I would envisage my life in forty years' time, it would have been much different from the one I have. At that time I simply did not have enough faith to conceive that such happiness and "success" would come to me. I was reckoning without the goodness of God. That "my" children could become some of my best friends would never have occurred to me. And now we have almost-four grandchildren only five minutes distant from our house; the relationship is amazing and the ability to mutually support, a God-given blessing.
I am grateful indeed for the talents and strengths I have been given by my Creator. They are and always have been my perfect delight, and I love to use them to help others. While still very young I would "lose myself" in writing, piano, cooking, letters, knitting, gardening, the wild flowers of nature . . . I am now perpetually challenged and thrilled by many wonderful aspects of Family History work that link us to our ancestors. It all gets better and better.
