JFK, the case for a lone gunman

I was 10 years old when President Kennedy was assassinated. I made a lonely walk home from school, sad and confused by what had happened.

It has been 50 years since then and we still don't know what happened in Dealey Plaza.

Not believing that one lone man could be responsible for such a horrendous crime, I read or watched many of the conspiracy theory books and videos released over the years.

The people or groups who would have wanted Kennedy dead are many:

* Castro

* The mob

* The CIA

* LBJ

* Oswald

The people put forward as the possible shooters goes from serious to comical:

* The driver of the limo shot Kennedy and threw the gun out of the car

* John Connally shot Kennedy and then shot himself?

* A secret service agent accidently discharged his rifle in the motorcade killing Kennedy

* A CIA assassination team pulled the triggers

* Someone in the grassy knoll shot Kennedy

* Someone from the sewer drain shot Kennedy

* Someone in the TSBD, but from a different window than Oswald shot Kennedy

* Oswald shot Kennedy

* The umbrella man shot him with a poison dart

* Someone from the train tracks shot Kennedy

* It was an assassin using a mercury bullet who made the fatal shot

* Several Zapruder frames were removed, and it was actually Jackie who made the fatal shot, because JFK slept with Marilyn Monroe!

The amount of people needed to coordinate this operation would have been extensive.

* A group of people to handle Oswald, make sure he wasn't sick that day, make sure he took those curtain rods to work and disposed of them before running off after the shooting. CIA, FBI?

* A different group of people to coordinate the motorcade route. The White House, Secret Service, LBJ?

* A different group of people to pull the trigger. CIA assassination teams, mob members, Oswald?

* A different group of people to tamper with the medical evidence. Hospital doctors, military autopsy facility personnel?

* A different group of people to dispose of Oswald. The Mob?

There would have been so many people in the know, that keeping it a secret would have been near impossible. The S.S. would have had to communicate with Oswald's handers, who would have had to communicate with the shooters that Oswald was at work that day, who would have had to let the military personnel know what they needed to fix on the body.

I guess the mob could have been used to keep everyone in line.

It seems that the only person in our government who did not know what was about to happen, was JFK himself.

At the end of the day, we will never know, but many will continue to pontificate!
