Judith, who was living in Darwin at the time, decided to get married at St George's Church Magill South Australia because church had a lychgate and she describes herself as a 'romantic'.  She wore a wedding gown made from white and gold material she had bought on a cruise a few years earlier and which was originally intended for a sari.

The reception was held at 483 Magill Road Magill, where her grandparents, and later her parents and Judith lived.  The home lent itself well to a garden reception.

Judith and Steven then had a short honeymoon at Carrickalinga beach before they set off on their journey to Darwin.
