Ruth tells us about her first job with the Olumpic Tyre and Rubbger Co. at the top of Anzac Highway in Adelaide. She travelled to work by bus which was 3/4 hour journey. She was hired as a mail clerk and was required to sort mail into pigeon holes, frank the outgoing mail. The Paymaster called her in one day and in a very serious manner convinced Ruth to join a health fund.
