VFW posts throughout the United States offer veterans of every generation and every branch of service, a place to come together in brotherhood and
friendship. Behind each of these posts is a group of dedicated women who contribute greatly to the overall success of their post through their support
and involvement in a wide range of activities. "Honor the dead by helping the living" is our motto. We attempt to do this by honoring the service and
sacrifices of our veterans as well as helping our service members and their families.
We do everything from raising funds for cancer research to organizing holiday activities, hosting steak dinners to maintaining our memorial garden,
we participate in community activities, sponsor scholarships, and through a wide range of other programs, ensure that the legacy and history of our
veterans as well as our country are preserved.
We welcome new members, people new to the community and those who transfer from other posts. Membership has been broadened to include not
only the wives of service members, but also their mothers, widows, sisters, half-sisters, daughters, grandmothers and granddaughters. Foster mothers
and foster daughters are also eligible under some circumstances.
