Expeditions by Lori Clark Zuber
I had the privilege of knowing Steve and his family through our mutual friends, Anastasia Wood and Roger Wood. Our actual time spent together was brief - My kids and I were visiting the Woods when making a trip back to CO from NC. My husband was stationed in Korea at the time and my Expedition was packed like the Beverly Hillbillies!!! So during my stay in Clarksville, I bought a cargo carrier. The night before I was leaving, Steve came home with Roger after work for one of Anastasia’s delicious meals, and without hesitation he helped Roger pack the carrier, kids’ bikes, toddler bed, boxes and all! Although I was only around him for a few hours, I know what a wonderful person he was, how much he loved his children, and that he was an American hero. It breaks my heart that he was taken from this world too soon. Briefly reading this page, he definitely left his mark! No doubt he is watching over and smiling! I hope the kind words and sweet memories posted here bring some comfort. Dezaray, Jazlyn, Tristyn, and all of his family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Also, I met Michelle and the kids when they were visiting Anastasia in CO. All our husbands were deployed at the time. Again my memory involves my Expedition!! We all loaded up and went to Krispy Kreme! All 9 seats were filled and we filled another vehicle as well!!!
