My cat Kia.

kia

This is my cat Kia.  He had many names over the years so that may be why he never came to us when we called to him....or he could have just been acting like a typical cat and coming when they wanted to.  Either way, he's eating out of his food bowl and licking his mouth in this picture.  The basement steps are in the background along with a bag of trash for my brother Tyler or I to take out.  We were living in North Conway, N.H. at the time.  This cat was so laid back he would let our bird (cockatiel) walk over to him while sunning himself on the middle cushion of the couch and peep like crazy right in his face and then waddle past him and nip at his tail.  I can't believe the cat didn't swat the stupid bird across the room but he never did.  They both got along great with my dog Lillian too.  All friends.

It's been so long since I've seen Kia's picture. He also rapidly thump his back foot against the door to let us know he wanted to go in or out. It sounded like a rolling tongue and we all obliged.

Well, I've always been a dog person myself Justin, but a couple of weeks ago we rescued a cat, who is "Miss Kitty," "Mrs. Whiskers," "Princess Kittybritches," "Baby Girl" or "Little Woman," depending on her (and our) mood at the time

Kia was most tolerant for a cat. Enjoyed your description of her!

Justin, I enjoyed your great description of the feline and the fowl and their close friendship.

Kiatty was a great cat! I loved the fact that he followed me all over the yard when I was working outside. The sweetest cat alive! Thanks for the memories, it sure was a wonderful time of our lives.
Love, Mom
