I had been traveling with a group in Austria on a music tour.  The flight from Vienna was delayed due to a thunder storm.  Hence we missed the flight from Amsterdam and the one in Detroit to Columbus.  We stayed over night in Detroit arriving in Columbus on Sunday evening, September 9, 2001  On Tuesday I called an aquaintance who said she was lookiing at TV and planes flying into the Trade Towers!  Of course I immediately tunred mine on and could not believe my eyes.  At one point I thought it strange that water could be sprayed as far up as it seemed and then I realized it was the sides of the north tower slipping down!

The next day the sky was devoid of planes, my home is in the flight path of several planes.  Later on Wednesday two fighter jets roared over my house.  I wondered if more of our country was under attack.

I knew no one who was killed in this horrific attack but felt empty while trying to contemplate why people would want to kill us.  Was it , since we now knew it was done by Arabs, are continued support of Israel?  Our foreign policy is often centered around countries who have something we
