What things do I think I cannot live without?

I’ve climbed that pyramid from the time I was a child teenager and young adult with episodes of missing those basic needs throughout my adulthood. To build the next tier of psychological needs and then have them torn down and rebuilt and now when I look back on my life I sometimes think I am close to self-fulfilling my needs and achieving my full potential.

But I’m not sure what my full potential is. Therefore I will not know if I ever achieve my full potential.

I know I could not live without water that is a physical need that’s absolute. I don’t want to live without food but I can get by skipping a meal now and then and that’s why I had to skip a number of days I think because of other adversity I’ve been through I could meet that one. The summer may be hot but I don’t want cold windy snowy below zero nights. And if you know me you know I am a grump if I don’t get my rest.

Safety it’s part of the privileges and blessings of living in this great country and we take it for granted.

Psychological needs our intimate relationships and friends can ebb and flow and it’s more difficult to live with those needs are not being met. Can I get by without the prestige of feeling accomplishment? YES, I have done it before as I climbed this pyramid. I can do it again.

Now I’m climbing to the peak and can I live without achieving my full potential don’t know but as long as I continue to strive it will be OK.

I think the question though was going to things material things not Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.

I’m going to have a very difficult time living without an automobile but maybe I should get around on a bicycle. I can live without an airplane because I don’t need to go nor do I must I go any place far in a short period.

Could I get by without a house without air conditioning without a heater? I’ve slept in a tent before on the ground so I guess I could do it again it would be nice to have a warm sleeping bag in the winter because if it gets too cold for too long I will die.

If I have no transportation and I’m in the middle of the desert without water I could not get by without the things of transportation.

As I’ve said in my hospital bed or the rehab bed dependent on others to help me with even the most basic functions of living I think I’ve contemplated what can I do. The answer is you just keep going so I don’t know what I could live without but I would just keep going
