"Americans, more than any other culture on earth, are cookbook cooks; we learn to make our meals not from any oral tradition, but from a text. The just-wed cook brings to the new household no carefully-copied collection of the family's cherished recipes, but a spanking new edition of the Fannie Farmer or The Joy of Cooking."--John Thorne, American food writer
Some of our favorite memories are the smells of the kitchen during our childhood. This group is an opportunity for us to share old family recipes to ensure our dear ancestors live on through their love of cooking...and the just-wed cooks start new traditions, perhaps with our ancestors' old recipes. (Secret recipes are welcomed, too. We won't tell!) We'd love to have you join us. (Please include your ancestor's name in the recipe title.)
If you'd like an invite to join this group, send me a note and I'll add you right away. Happy cooking, my friends. Deborah@ALifetimeLegacy.com
