Good find, Elva! I love when I can find a book on Amazon at such a great price. I understand Gail Collins has written a couple other books, too.

Thanks for the recommendation, Connie. Hmmm, so much good reading already! I heard Mike Huckabee on the news yesterday talk about his book, "Dear Chandler, Dear Scarlett: A Grandfather's Thoughts on Faith, Family, and the Things That Matter Most." I want to get that, too. Maybe the very next book I read should be a book on learning how to speed read. Thanks for the great posts, my LS friends.

I was given a copy of When Everything Changed, the Amazing Journey of American Woman from 1960 to the Present, by Gail Collins as a birthday gift from a cousin. Although I have lived through this time period, I have learned so much. It brought back so many memories from the 70s while I was in the Navy as one of the first women to be allowed in the more technical jobs historically performed by male sailors. I had many male coworkers support me in my efforts to make the Navy a career of 26 years. The doors were just beginning to open in 1972 and this book is an eye opener to both women and men! I highly recommend When Everything Changed.....
