After my first wife had died her two sister’s ; brother ; and closest cousin and I all decided to stay in contact with each other no matter what . I would go to visit all of them regularly every time I was down . I always gave them my address and telephone number so they could call me and check and my two sons. I would go home my two sons birthday’s would go by Christmas would go by ; no telephone calls ; no letters ; no nothing from no one . I would go back down to visit every one back home and stop by to visit all of her sister’s ; brother ; cousin and let them know again my address and telephone number.They would say OK we will write the boy’s a letter . I would go back home and still no telephone call ; no letter ; no nothing . After several years I quit trying .

After My current wife and I got married it was about a year later we were sitting around watching TV and the telephone rang . I got up and answered it . The man on the other end of the telephone told me that he was my step daughter uncle from Texas . That he didn’t know that his deceased brother had a daughter until his own step father ( Daddy) had told himself that he had one . And he wanted to be a part of his nieces life BUT if he was interfering with our lives that he would butt out right now . All I had to do was tell him to get lost . It made feel sooooo proud that some one from my step daughter’s family cared enough about her to track her down and want to be a part of her life . I said MAN there ain’t no way I want you to ever leave us alone . We had to bury my brother in law a couple of months ago . I sure hated to see him go .
