September 11 2001 was just like all of the other days that had came before . I got up , made the coffee , got my lunch and my wife’s lunch together getting ready for another day at work . My wife always turned the TV on to listen to the news while she was getting ready in the mornings. I was getting ready when they interrupted the local news with the announcement of a plane hitting the World Trade Center in New York . They were showing live pictures and I thought to myself “what a horrible accident.” Just about that time the second plane hit . I told my wife “THAT AIN’T NO ACCIDENT”. She was going wild screaming “ Oh My God ; Oh My God “.

Of course we both had to go on and go to work that day . I had several service calls already lined up waiting on me to come and repair their copying machines . All day long I kept thinking about those picture’s  that  was burned into my mind that morning. I thought back some 60 years before to Pearl Harbor thinking what it must have been like for them . I thought about an aunt and uncle that I have . there oldest daughter was born December 7 1941 . What they must have thought .  

Every service call I went on that day and the several days that’s all people could talk about .

Now ten years later . It seems like you almost have to be reminded about it .

And that’s really sad.

We have military people doing their duty to protect us every day that don’t have to be reminded .
