His Story
Eddie Batson was born to parents John E. Batson, and Eva (Calvin) Batson on August 14 1888, in Kingston, Caldwell Co. Missouri. In census of 1900 he was living with parents and sister Gracie B-4yrs old.
In the census of 1910 he living in Kansas City, Jackson Co. Missouri and listed as a boarder. He listed his occupation as being a lawyer of general practice.
On December 31, 1913, he joined in marriage with Bessie E. Adams in Jackson Co. Missouri. In 1817, Edward H. Batson registered for the draft WWI, on list it stated physical disability.
In the census of 1920, Edward and Bessie resided in Washington, D.C and he listed as being a lawyer for the government, and wife Bessie as bookkeeper for War Dept.
The 1929-1940 they were listed as living in Washington, D.C. The city directories of those years did not determine whether any children were born to the couple.
After 1940 they were listed as living in Kansas City, Jackson Co. Missouri.
Edward H. Batson died in 1968, in Kansas City, Mo. And he and wife Bessie are interred at Mt. Moriah, Kansas City Chapel of Hope, Mausoleum.
