Golden Cornmeal Muffins

1 1/2 c. sifted flour
3/4 c. cornmeal
1/2 c. sugar
4 t. baking powder
1 t. salt
2 eggs, slightly beaten
3 T. melted margarine
1 c. milk

Preheat oven to 400°.

Sift together flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt into mixing bowl.

Combine eggs, butter and milk in small bowl; blend well.  Add all at once into dry ingredients, stirring just enough to moisten.  Spoon batter into greased 3" muffin-pan cups, filling 2/3 full.

Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.  Serve warm.

Makes 12 muffins.
