Her Story
Hannah Ford was born in Canada on March 18, 1842 to David Ford(1819-1893) and Nancy (McIntosh) Ford (1822-1870). David Ford born in Canada, and mother Nancy born in Scotland. I found Nancy in Canada in 1851, under the name Nancy McIntosh, in Nova Scotia.
The Ford family came to the United States in 1868 from Canada. The family were living on a farm 1n 1870, Kingston, Caldwell Co. Mo. There were 5 girls and one boy.
In the census of 1880 Hannah was still living at home with parents and younger sister Ella, and brother William Alexander. Hannah was listed as being a school teacher. Un married at the present time.
On March 5, 1893 Hannah joined in marriage with Joseph Robert Schatzer of Hamilton, Missouri. Their address was Hamilton, Missouri and in census of 1900 they had a daughter Aggie who was 4 years old.
In the census of 1910, the family had moved to Marion, Polk Co. Missouri, and Hannah still listed as school teacher. Only the one daughter at this time.
In the census of 1920 Robert and Hannah were living in Jackson, Polk Co., Missouri and they were living with daughter Aggie and her husband Llano Hamilton, and 1 mo. Old baby George R.
I was unable to find Hannah and husband Robert in the 1830 census, but did find that Robert died in 1934 of Carcinoma of the stomach, and is buried in Oakville, Cemetery, Bolivar, Missouri. Hannah died in 1945 and is buried beside husband in Oakville Cemetery
