From Monday, May 13th, 2023, is, what is the furthest you have ever traveled? Or to phrase it better. What is the furthest I have ever traveled?

I believe it was in April of 2007. I traveled to Hong Kong, into China immediately across the border from Hong Kong and then to Beijing. This total trip was about eight or nine days.

It was a 13-hour flight over, 13 hours back.

What can I tell you about that trip? It was a long flight and long flights between Hong Kong and Beijing. We visited the Great Wall of China and in Shenzhen, I'll have to check that spelling, we inspected two different manufacturing plants, one that was making cases for CDs, video DVDs. The other was a printing plant. Both of these factories were very, very, very large, multiple story and a number of buildings on the property, along with dormitories where the workers lived.

Many of them were from small towns, small farming communities in China, and they traveled to the big city to work in the factories.

While in Beijing, we also visited Tiananmen Square, which is one big, big square. You can't get up close to a memorial in the center of the square because it is pockmarked by bullet holes from when the army broke up a rally, I think it's back in 1989.

On both sides of Tiananmen Square, (it was really a rectangle not square) there were government buildings on each side which went the complete length of the square, and one of the largest buildings I've ever seen.

Across the street was the Forbidden City, which was at one time the city and palace of the Emperor. Walking through it was massive and interesting and very colorful, very strong colors, and the buildings were massive.

Also, we went to the Summer Palace and a jade factory.

Shopping in Hong Kong, purchasing polo shirts at a big, deep discount and a tailor-made suit.

That was the furthest I've traveled and was perhaps the most interesting trip of all.
