Joseph Doddridge

His Story

     Joseph Doddridge was the first child born to Blackstone P. and Sarah(Winder) Doddridge.  He was born May 6,1872 in Hamilton, Caldwell County Missouri.

     He lived with his parents up until the 1900 census and he is absent from the home.  He apparently moved to Chicago, Cook County Illinois, and lived in that city for all of his adult life.  He is listed in the city directories all of the years up until time of death.   The addresses are different every few years, but in the same general locality.  In the 1920 census he is listed as a roomer with the Stein family.

      He apparently never married, a wife is not listed in any information I could find.  On his death cert. he was listed as single.

     His date of death was June 18,1930, in Chicago, Cook Co. Illinois and his occupation is listed as Insurance Agent. The burial was in Oakwoods Cemetery, Chicago.
