What simple pleasures of life do you truly enjoy?
What are the simple pleasures of life that I truly enjoy?
Driving and particularly driving on a windy road and being able to drive as fast as possible. Joy driving on such a road with the windows down, the heater, going full blast in the Southern California winter, and the radio up to full volume.
I enjoy going out with a group for a snack or a meal any time of day or night. Finding new places to eat, hole-in-the-wall restaurants, one-of-a-kind, and most any kind of food ethnic from Chinese, Japanese, Asian, Mexican, Spanish American, Italian pizza, Mediterranean, Indian, Pakistani, all different ethnic foods.
May not be simple because it’s expensive, but I enjoy fine dining the crisp white tablecloth crystal, and china at a restaurant that serves an elegant meal.
When I was younger, I enjoyed social dancing and such. I think that was mostly when I was single.
When I was a youth, I enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Wasn’t a great hiker, but I did hike some as a child.
I enjoyed going out with a group of people and shooting rifles at target practice, spending time with the scouts on their annual trip to the desert to shoot the 22s.
Fixing meals over the campfire, finding exotic meats such as alligator, kangaroo, wild boar, and other buffalo, and barbecuing over an open fire. I enjoyed barbecuing from chicken, turkey, steak, hamburgers, hot dogs, different types of styles of sausages, German, Italian, Polish, hot Louisiana sausage, buffalo, and wild game. One of the most enjoyable things I did and have done in my life, and it’s probably one of the few I can still do, is just to read for pleasure. During law school to get a break from work and school classes and study, I read all of the books by the author Louis L ‘Amour, a Western author. I’ve enjoyed the authors Vince Evans, Robert Ludlum, Larry Bond, Jack Higgins, and many others.
